DESIGN APPROACH

In this project, the task was challenging because it involved designing furniture for the living room of a renovated apartment in an old villa on Medveščak Street. The apartment owner wanted an entire wall to be a library that would match the room's gray woodwork in color and material and include plywood as one of the materials. Our design and 3D visualizations immediately impressed the client. The library features open shelves, glass-enclosed and illuminated shelves at the top, closed shelves at the bottom, a closed desk with LED lighting, and drawers.

The library is surrounded by double-height room doors. The combination of gray particleboard and plywood, black steel handles, and tinted glass creates an interesting mix of materials that seamlessly integrates its contemporary style into this old apartment.

In addition to the library, a TV cabinet was designed and made in the same style and from the same materials as the library.
